This event is part of the USA Science and Engineering Festival, and occurs the final week of the Festival, prior to the Grande Finale.

We are one short week away from jumping into the world of Innovation together... in what is sure to be a very enlivening, ground breaking event.
Here are some critical updates:
Monday evening
We are having a no-host dinner and get-together at

Our seating will be out on the patio – please ask for Yámana Science and Technology, Kennan, or the Patio and you’ll find us.
Come enjoy some conviviality before we roll our sleeves up at 8:30AM the next morning at the Artisphere!

The next day begins with an opening talk by Lawrence Bock, the organizer of the USA Science and Engineering Festival. We will be spending the morning in the Spectrodome. Our series of interactive panels follows Larry's opening talk. The event will be live-streamed, so if you share the link http://scienceunsummit.crowdvine.com with your family, friends and colleagues they will be able to watch the morning presentations as well.
Program
Our event will begin with an address from Larry Bock, creator and primary architect behind the USA Science and Engineering Festival.
This will be followed by a series of idea-starters, in the form of three interactive panel presentations in the Spectrum Theater at the Artisphere.
The first panel topic is Innovation: Organizing for Collaboration, presented by:
Charles Feltman, Insight Coaching. Charles consults in the high tech industry (NASA, Silicon Valley companies) and is a specialist on the value of trust for high performing teams
Derek Neighbors, Founder of Gangplank in Chandler Arizona, where the power of collaboration transcends competition. Topic: "Hacking Innovation"
Jaime Lester, co-author of "Organizing Higher Education for Collaboration," a study in which she and Adrianna Kezar discerned the components that support trans-disciplinary and collaborative work in the heart of post-secondary academia
Barry Bunin, CEO & President, Collaborative Drug Discovery, Inc will speak on "Collaboration as the key to turning around the drug discovery business"
The second panel topic is Innovation in Science Education with the following topic areas:
Ursula Koniges, Vikram Kapila, Lindrik Outerbridge and Ben Esner - Priming the STEM Pipeline through longitudinal education partnerships between university faculty, graduate students, and K-12 teachers - the Graduate STEM Fellows in K-12 Education Program
Experiential learning as a model for keeping curiosity in the science education equation
The third panel topic is Innovation through Policy, Innovation by Design with the following topic areas:
AAAS Science Policy Fellow Marcelo Vinces will speak on "Policy Drivers for Innovation - the National Science Foundation Approach"
Elizabeth Gerber, of the Segal Design Institute at Northwestern University will speak on "Design For America: How Extracurricular Design Based Learning Influences Innovation Education and Participation"
Matt Clark, of the Council on Competitiveness "Making Innovation for Broader Social Impact"
